Refund Policy

At Long Arc Research, we want you to be completely satisfied with your subscription to our Legends platform. This Refund Policy explains when and how you can request a refund for your subscription fees.

1. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers. If you are not satisfied with your Legends subscription for any reason, you may cancel within 14 days of your initial purchase and receive a full refund.

Eligibility Requirements

  • First-time subscribers only: This guarantee applies to your first subscription purchase. It does not apply to subscription renewals or reactivations.
  • 14-day window: You must request a refund within 14 calendar days of your initial payment date.
  • Active subscription: Your subscription must still be active at the time of your refund request.

What Happens After Refund

Once your refund is processed:

  • Your subscription will be immediately canceled
  • You will lose access to all premium Legends content
  • Your payment will be refunded to your original payment method within 5-10 business days
  • You will receive a confirmation email with your refund details

2. Subscription Renewals

Subscription renewal charges are non-refundable. After your 14-day money-back guarantee period expires, all subsequent subscription renewals (monthly or annual) are final and non-refundable.

Avoiding Unwanted Renewals

Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period. To avoid being charged for renewal:

  • Cancel before renewal: You must cancel your subscription before your renewal date to avoid being charged.
  • Check renewal date: You can view your next renewal date in your account settings.
  • Renewal reminders: We send email reminders 7 days before your subscription renews.
  • Access until end of period: After canceling, you retain access to premium content through the end of your current billing period.

No Partial Refunds

If you cancel after your subscription renews, you will not receive a refund for the unused portion of your billing period. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the period you have paid for.

3. Prorated Refunds

In limited circumstances, we may issue prorated refunds at our sole discretion. Prorated refunds are calculated based on the unused portion of your billing period.

When Prorated Refunds May Apply

  • Service termination by us: If we terminate your subscription for reasons other than breach of our Terms of Service, we will provide a prorated refund for the unused portion of your billing period.
  • Extended service outages: If our service experiences a prolonged outage (more than 72 consecutive hours), you may be eligible for a prorated credit or refund.
  • Billing errors: If we mistakenly charge you an incorrect amount or charge you after you canceled, we will refund the erroneous charge in full.
  • Price increases: If we increase subscription prices and you do not agree to the new price, you may cancel and receive a prorated refund if you cancel within 30 days of being notified of the price change.

How Prorated Refunds Are Calculated

Prorated refunds are calculated as follows:

Refund Amount = (Total Paid / Days in Billing Period) × Remaining Days

Example: If you paid $120 for an annual subscription and cancel after 9 months, your prorated refund would be: ($120 / 365 days) × 90 remaining days = approximately $29.59

4. Non-Refundable Scenarios

The following scenarios are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances:

  • Account termination for violations: If your account is terminated for violating our Terms of Service, you will not receive any refund.
  • After 14-day guarantee period: Once your 14-day money-back guarantee expires, subscription fees become non-refundable unless we terminate your account or another exception applies.
  • Subscription renewals: Automatic renewal charges are non-refundable. You must cancel before your renewal date to avoid charges.
  • Change of mind: After the 14-day guarantee period, we cannot issue refunds simply because you changed your mind or no longer want to use the service.
  • Content dissatisfaction: After your 14-day trial period, refunds are not provided because you did not enjoy specific content or found it unhelpful.
  • Forgotten subscription: We cannot issue refunds because you forgot to cancel your subscription before it renewed.
  • Technical issues on your end: Refunds are not provided for inability to access content due to your internet connection, device compatibility, or other technical issues on your end.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund under our 14-day money-back guarantee or for other eligible circumstances:

Step 1: Contact Support

Email our support team at support@longarcresearch.com with the subject line "Refund Request."

Step 2: Provide Required Information

Include the following information in your refund request:

  • Your full name
  • Email address associated with your account
  • Date of your subscription purchase
  • Reason for requesting a refund
  • Original payment method (last 4 digits of card or PayPal email)

Step 3: Refund Review

Our team will review your request within 2 business days. We will:

  • Verify your subscription details and purchase date
  • Confirm eligibility under our refund policy
  • Send you a confirmation email with our decision

Step 4: Refund Processing

If your refund is approved:

  • Your subscription will be immediately canceled
  • You will receive a refund confirmation email
  • Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5-10 business days
  • Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take an additional 5-7 business days for the refund to appear in your account

Note: If you do not receive a response within 2 business days, please check your spam folder or reply to your original email.

Refunds are always processed to your original payment method. We cannot issue refunds to different payment methods or accounts.

If Your Refund Is Delayed

If you have not received your refund within 20 business days of approval:

  • Check your bank or credit card statement
  • Contact your bank or card issuer to inquire about pending credits
  • Contact us at support@longarcresearch.com with your refund confirmation number

7. Cancellation vs Refund

It's important to understand the difference between canceling your subscription and requesting a refund:

Cancellation

  • Stops future automatic renewal charges
  • You retain access until the end of your current billing period
  • No refund is provided for the current billing period
  • Can be done directly through your account settings

Refund Request

  • Returns money for eligible charges
  • Immediately terminates your subscription access
  • Only available within 14 days of initial purchase or in special circumstances
  • Requires contacting support

Important: If you only want to stop renewal charges but continue using your subscription through the end of your billing period, cancel your subscription instead of requesting a refund. Canceling is free and can be done instantly in your account settings.

8. Disputes and Chargebacks

If you have a billing concern or dispute, please contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer.

Why Contact Us First

  • We can often resolve billing issues immediately
  • Refund requests are processed faster than chargebacks
  • Chargebacks may result in account suspension
  • Chargeback fees may be charged to your account

Our Chargeback Policy

If you initiate a chargeback without first contacting us:

  • Your account will be immediately suspended pending resolution
  • We will provide documentation to your bank showing our refund policy and your agreement to our Terms of Service
  • If the chargeback is found in our favor, your account may remain permanently suspended
  • Chargeback processing fees (typically $15-25) may be added to your account balance

9. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by:

  • Posting the updated policy on this page
  • Updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page
  • Sending an email notification to active subscribers

Changes to this policy will not affect refund requests for subscriptions purchased before the effective date of the change.
